Strengthening complex care through specialist clinical training
Complex care demands more than good intentions.
It requires depth of knowledge, clinical confidence and highly specialised skills.
At Ability Plus, we are strengthening our clinical model through a new partnership with Connect 2 Care by investing directly in advanced capability for our nursing and frontline teams.
Advanced clinical training for our frontline teams
This is not generic training. It is targeted, specialist clinical coaching.
Our nursing team will be trained as train-the-trainer leaders, building internal expertise that can be embedded across teams supporting clients with highly complex needs. Over the coming months they will receive advanced coaching from Connect 2 Care’s allied health specialists, with a focus on:
- Psychology – understanding mood and personality shifts in clients with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Dietetics – the impact of nutrition on bowel management, overall health and behavioural stability
- Speech pathology – Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and advanced communication devices
This investment is about lifting the clinical depth of our service and tailoring support to the specific needs of each client, rather than offering one-size-fits-all care.
Inside our clinical nursing team
What this means for clients and families
For clients and families, this means:
- More specialised, condition-specific care
- Teams with deeper clinical understanding
- Better communication outcomes
- Stronger, safer decision-making in complex environments
- Confidence that your care partner is investing where it matters most
Trust built on capability
Choosing who to trust with complex care is not a small decision.
We believe trust is earned through capability, not claims.
This investment ensures we continue to strengthen how we support people with specialised and high-risk needs, with care that is clinically smart, deeply human and built for complexity.
